Both are heavy-duty motorised curtain tracks at similar load capacities — the Glydea Ultra 60 is rated to 60kg per track and the Silent Gliss SG 5600 to 65kg. The primary difference is the motor protocol and smart home ecosystem. The Glydea uses Somfy’s io-homecontrol and RTS radio protocols and integrates natively with the Somfy TaHoma platform and the full Somfy ecosystem. The SG 5600 uses the Silent Gliss proprietary motor system and integrates via the Silent Gliss Move app. For projects where a Somfy TaHoma gateway or Somfy-based shading system is already specified, the Glydea is the natural track choice.
