The Silent Gliss Metropole 7610 is the hand-operated entry point to the Silent Gliss Metropole pole track family — the system that resolves the most persistent frustration with traditional decorative curtain poles: the ring. Conventional poles use curtain rings that sit on the outside of the pole profile, bunch unevenly when the curtain is drawn back, catch on adjacent rings during operation, and create the irregular gathered appearance at the top of the curtain that distinguishes an amateur installation from a professional one. The Metropole 7610 eliminates rings entirely.
In their place, the SG 7610 uses an internal gliding channel machined into the pole profile itself. The curtain’s heading tape carriers slide directly within this channel, travelling the full length of the pole silently and smoothly with no external mechanism visible from the room. From the front, the Metropole 7610 reads as a clean, uninterrupted round pole. The curtain appears to hang from within the pole rather than from rings around it — a detail that gives even a simply dressed curtain a more considered, resolved appearance.
The SG 7610 is hand-operated by direct draw on the leading edge of the curtain or, where specified, by a separate baton draw accessory. It is compatible with standard curtain tape headings and is available in the Metropole range of decorative pole finishes — brushed chrome, satin silver, matt black and antique brass among others — each with co-ordinating end finials and intermediate support brackets.
